What happens if a disclosure is made?

If a disclosure has been made to us by a member, a process must be followed to assess if work can continue. Once it has been brought to the attention of Altrix Clinical Governance (CG) a Risk Assessment will be completed.

This is a straightforward assessment that will consider the nature of the disclosure, the time of the conviction, warning, charge and whether there is any relationship between this and your role as a healthcare professional.

If this assessment deems that there would be a risk associated with professional duties such as harm to children, you will not be able to work with Altrix.

If there is no association, this is completed and approved by CG, which will be stored on your profile with us. Although this disclosure has been approved by Altrix, this information will need to be disclosed to any trust that that you work with.

Once this information has been shared with the trust, they will then decide if it is appropriate for you to continue working with them.
