What is revalidation and why is it important?
Revalidation was introduced by the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) in April 2016 to build further confidence and improve protection with the public, employers, and fellow professionals by ensuring that nurses and midwives are up to date with their professional practice.
All nurses, associates and midwives in England and Wales must undertake this to maintain their registration with the NMC.
