As inconvenient as it might seem at times, compliance is an essential and very important part of what Altrix do when bringing you on board as a member. We pride ourselves on our Framework agency status and maintain very high standards through all compliance documentation and updates. We are regularly externally audited to make sure these standards are maintained.

What is Annual Compliance?

Annual compliance relates to the renewal of your documentation in line with Framework Guidelines that are aligned with the NHS Employment standards and agreed with the DHSC. These can be but not limited to,

  • DBS Renewal,
  • NMC Pin Checks
  • Fit to Work Certificates
  • Professional References

What is the purpose of renewing my compliance annually?

The renewal of all your compliance tasks ensures the safety not only for the patients in hospitals, but also to protect your rights and fair treatment as an employee and a member of Altrix. It also means you can continue to book shifts within your area of work with the confidence of being a fully trained and documented professional to NHS standards. This keeps quality high whilst maintaining patient and member safety.

How is the compliance monitored?

Altrix hold a wealth of knowledge across our business, collectively having decades of NHS experience across our team. This knowledge is embedded into the training and upskilling of staff. Empowering them with the correct understanding to handle any and all compliance quires. Armed with these skills sets, our approach to compliance is systematic, allowing enough time for our members to renew compliance requirements easily and in time. There are of course instances where compliance can lapse due to several unforeseen circumstances. However, Altrix while ensuring Framework Guidelines are met, will work towards renewing any and all tasks as soon and as efficiently as possible.

In most instances when a renewal of a compliance task is required, one months’ notice is given by either your Workforce Relationship Advisor or your Altrix App will remind and promote your compliance renewal. This creates transparency between Altrix and member, meaning the compliance can easily be monitored by Altrix, members and consultants, aligning to the same common goal. It’s a win win!

Does compliance renewal apply to my role?

Yes all roles and areas of work regardless of responsibilities are required to undergo annual compliance renewal.

What if I have my own compliance documents ready to use?

This only applies to a DBS Certificate registered on the DBS Update service. Meaning references from different parties or training material which is not verified by Altrix or even provided via Altrix cannot be accepted. This safeguards all parties involved to confirm all compliance is trusted and responsibility sourced.

How can I make sure I am up to date ?

Altrix recommends always checking your compliance status at least once a month via the Altrix App, which provides a clear indication of any compliance due for renewal. Also look out for correspondence from our team who monitor the workforce, prompting renewal of documents to keep members compliant, so you don’t miss any shift booking opportunities.
